Portrait of an aviator.
Theodore Gordon Ellyson, USN, nicknamed "Spuds", was the first United States Navy officer designated as an aviator. Ellyson served in the experimental development of aviation in the years before and after World War I.

My whole objective for this piece was to revisit an image that had been frozen in time in black and white and give it a complete modern look.
